Algernon Cadwallader’s debut LP “Some Kind Of Cadwallader” is one of my favorite albums from the last few years, mostly because I think it’s impossible to listen to this and not feel happy. It’s great for driving at dusk and hanging out with friends. The band shows a lot of love to Cap’n Jazz and the Kinsella style music in general, but that’s okay because it’s heartfelt and damn good. This band is charming with rough vocals, bare bones drumming and guitar and bass lines with an endless amount of hooks. I couldn’t possibly pick favorites from this release, so just pick it up and listen to it all! As far as pressing info goes, this is the first US pressing by Security Blanket. It’s black vinyl with a screen printed cover, limited to only 150 copies. Pretty sweet! Cut off your feet… and like it!
